July 8, 2009: Gators Looking for 09-10 Sponsors

The University of Florida Ice Hockey team is lucky enough to receive support from the Division of Recreational Sports at UF, however, the allocated funds don't meet all of the needs for a successful and competitive program. This is why the Gators are currently looking for corporate and private sponsors for the team. Please take a look at our sponsor page to find out more details about how you can support the team. If you would like to support the student-athletes of the team but feel that none of the options suit you, than please contact team president Shane Fitzpatrick. Each and every member of the team is appreciative of every sponsor who helps us out, as any costs over what the university allocates must be picked up by the student-athletes. Please help the team by supporting us today.

As a student-run organization, the team depends on the hard work and dedication of these student-athletes to function. The team has changed some of its officers and have a new President leading the way. Ex-secretary Shane Fitzpatrick will take the head of the organization with Jon Pavlinec remaining at VP. Matt Stankowicz is taking over Fitzpatrick position as Secretary, James Radicioni as Treasurer, and Ricky Bouchard stepped down as president to take over scheduling duties as the Director of Operations. In addition, Pavlinec was accepted to the University of Florida Sport Clubs Council which is a great accomplishment. He will preside over all of the sport clubs at UF as a representative of our team. Good luck to all the officers in the upcoming season. Feel free to contact any of them if you have any questions.
